Is it hot in here, or is it me?  It’s me, isn’t it?  Do you have this conversation on a daily basis? How about several times a day?  Do you experience days when you think you are losing your mind because you are in such a fog?  These are just a few of the struggles of the middle-aged woman deals with on a regular basis.

I personally dislike the term middle age but it is accuarate as it describes the period between early adulthood and old age, usually considered the years from about 45 to 65. Though its important to note that perimenopause can start when you are in your 30’s.

The change, that time of life, whatever you call it the biological process of menopause is a time of anxiety and distress!  Not to mention confusing and downright frustrating! With so many myths and misconceptions about menopause, it is often difficult to distinguish fact from fiction.  What exactly are the struggles of the middle-aged woman?

Kiran Ram, can help you with such midlife issues as forgetfulness, cravings for sweets, stiff joints, dry eyes, brittle nails, leaky bladder, lost libido and feeling disempowered. Yes, you guessed it, Kiran is a hormone expert, and a veritable fountain of knowledge.

As a Hormone Cure Practitioner, Kiran trained with the top physicians in the field to better understand hormones, brain chemistry, and the latest cutting-edge science that even many doctors are unaware of.

“Hormone therapy by itself is an ineffective and nearly impossible way to balance midlife hormones.  Your hormone response is as unique to you as your fingerprints.   One size does not fit all.” -Kiran Ram

Living Healthy List Founding Member, Sheree Clark interviewed Kiran about the struggles of the middle-aged woman and the experiences we have in midlife.

Here are a few topics they touch on:

  • The real cost of foregone sleep

  • What might help with sleep, and what’s not at all helpful

  • Why simply journaling for just three days could give you answers

  • Some ideas for “the sugar blues”
  • What is a hormone disruptor and what that means to you
