On a recent episode of The Healthy Living, Happy Life Show, I shared tips to transform your mindset towards positivity and motivation while enhancing your health and emotional well-being. You have the right to experience a healthy, happy life at all stages!

As successful women in our 50s who have handled various responsibilities and challenges, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed with physical changes and stress, leaving us feeling unmotivated and sad. Our physical and emotional well-being is at stake.  But here’s the good news – it doesn’t have to be that way. Let me share some tips that helped me reclaim my life.

Tip One

Visit your doctor to ensure nothing is physically wrong, such as a heart condition, diabetes, or hormone imbalance. Specialists like Lyn Hogrefe from the Happy Hormone Cottage can provide helpful insights into managing peri/menopausal symptoms.


Tip Two

What you eat matters, so focus on a real food diet high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and high-quality healthy fats that your body needs. Additionally, limit sugar, processed carbs, alcohol, caffeine, and high-sodium or spicy foods.  Small changes in your diet, can result in significant transformation and help alleviate peri/menopausal symptoms over time.  With quality sleep, you can transform your health, mindset, and emotional well-being.


Tip Three

Exercise or movement is essential for overall health. Yoga or Pilates classes, and weight training for lean muscles, and strong bones are great ways to stay fit and feel better.

Remember, embarking on a new journey in our 50s comes with unique opportunities to enjoy life, travel, learn new things, cultivate meaningful relationships, and LOVE life. We can start by prioritizing ourselves and seeking support whenever we feel lost or overwhelmed. Let’s link arms and go through life together!
