All germs are not created equal but what are germs anyway?

Germs, also known as microbes pretty much live everywhere. They are in the air, on food (I know, grosss!), plants and animals.  They live in soil, water and  just about every other surface including your body!

Most germs won’t harm you. That’s what your immune system is for.  It protects you against infectious agents liek germs. However, some germs are more problematic  because they’re constantly mutating to breach your immune system’s defenses.

Knowing more about germs can increase your chances of avoiding infection.

Two Theories about Germs

You have probably heard about the Germ Theory of Disease but have you heard about The Terrain Theory?  Two very different concepts on a similar topic.

The Germ Theory according to The Encyclopedia Britannica says “the theory that certain diseases are caused by the invasion of the body by microorganisms, organisms too small to be seen except through a microscope.”

The Terrain Theory, proposed by Antoine Béchamp, on the other hand, argues that if the body is well and balanced then germs are a natural part of life.

All germs are not created equal!

The microbiome is evidence that all germs are not bad so it’s time to take back our power!  Build up our body to be a bad host to this virus.
